I wish I had that profound, “Aha!” moment that would knock your socks off, but I just don’t. I was walking the streets of the West Bottoms (located in downtown Kansas City for non-locals) during a First Friday weekend and said, “Why NOT me”? I immediately found a space that was looking for vendors and moved in a few weeks later. Within a year, I expanded out to Greenwood, MO and soon expanded to Bonner Springs, KS. 

Cool, but where did that name come from, you ask? My puppies, Noodles and Buttons, are pretty much my obsession, so I knew they needed to be in my business name somehow. Thus, Boodle-Lou was born. It’s the combination of Buttons and Noodles, Lou being Noodles' middle name. 

Eventually, I would love to take Boodle from a side-hustle to a full-time gig, but until I make that leap, I also work full-time as a teacher for social emotional learners, which I absolutely love (they paid me to say that).
